Building Communities into Economies¶
A Systematic Approach to Growth and Innovation
By Osioke Itseuwa — Growth Clinic

"Sustainable growth and innovation don't come from top-down systems — they come from enabling communities to learn, share, and create value together."
About This Book¶
In 2016, whilst working as a Community Manager at Devcenter.co in Nigeria, something remarkable became clear: communities were not just gathering places. They were naturally evolving into engines of economic growth and innovation.
This book documents what emerged from years of observation, experimentation, and refinement. It presents the Growth and Innovation System (GIS) — a systematic approach to transforming communities into sustainable economies.
What You Will Find Here¶
This book is organised into two parts:
Part 1: Foundations of Growth and Innovation explores the mental models, learning systems, and community dynamics that make growth possible.
Part 2: Evolving Systems into Engines traces the evolution of GIS into the Growth and Innovation Operating System (GIOS) — a human-AI collaboration platform for community-driven development.

- An individual building your learning network
- A startup creating new possibilities
- A business developing markets
